Happy Mother's Day

It will be 2 years this Memorial Day that mom passed.
M was telling me all the stuff she got for her mom. I was don’t got one to give anything to, but then I thought wait. G is a mom to her furry child. So, I went shopping. Purchased a bottle of Kim Crawford sauvignon Blanc and a slice of limoncello cake that she has been wanting to try. I have a cat print stamp and made little prints all across the top of the container. (she had to do the NS yard sale on Sat, so those were her rewards for making it through the day!) I also cooked Sat night dinner. Steak tips on the grill, roasted Yukon gold potato and roasted asparagus. (yummy!)

A memory of each:
My mom was very creative. Through her life she knit, crocheted, sewed, but her piece de resistance was the cakes she created. For 30+ years she created birthday, wedding and all occasion cakes. Someone asked my brother once if we got to have cake all the time, he replied, “we see them come, we see them go”. After she passed away, we found a folder with letters and cards from people she had made cakes for. It was fun to read them and know that she made someone…
