Rolled over and checked the clock this morning, said 5:57, still had a few minutes before getting up. Laid there for probably five mor minutes. Rolled again, son of a bitch, no lights on the clock, power went out. Wind had been howling for hours. I’m surprised it didn’t go off in the middle of the night. Lay there, waiting. Nothing. Now my brain starts thinking that if it comes back on by 7:00 I’ll still be able to shower and get to work on time.
