Time for a reset. On everything!
Going into this with a positive look at the outcome. I just have to do something. But I’m lazy, I didn’t used to be. I procrastinate. I have an addictive personality. (my newest on line game is Woodoku! Can’t stop playing it.) It’s a toss up….read or play games most evenings……sigh. There is a list in my head of stuff that I need to do….do I do it…..nope….so RESET!
So what does that mean? I’m not really sure, I’m flying by the seat of my pants here. I just know that I need to do something.
Diet (aka Health wise) it’s time to buckle down and loose some weight. It’s hard to believe that at one point in my life I weighed 124 LB….course that was in high school and there is no way that I can get back there. I’d be happy with between 140 and 150 LB. (haven’t seen that in a while either.) So I’m back to the Leptin diet ~ which is actually a way of life change and not really a diet. Since my liver test came back good and the doctor told me that I didn’t have iron overload, my saturation level was normal, they think the rise in the ferritin is due to the drinking. Her recommendation is to not drink at all or to really cut back. I may have to go with the cut back. We’ll see how it goes. So this means that the hair loss could be genetics…..or some other issue. Hoping that going back to watching what I eat will help get my system back on track. That’s basically what the Leptin program is about. Fixing your hormones which are thyroid, insulin, estrogen etc.
I reset the scale on Monday. Doing the protein drink for breakfast. Monday I did the drink for dinner also. Couple of cheese sticks. Tuesday I had yogurt and black cherries for dinner w/some chopped up pecans. Your really supposed to do at least 4 days of just the shakes but I’m easing into that. Next Monday I’ll do the shakes for at least 4 days. (down 4 LB this morning)
I haven’t gotten back into the exercise thing yet. I can see the difference. Stomach and my little pouch (which isn’t so little any more) have increased in size, even though my weight has been staying the same. Same with my butt and thighs, I notice my tops aren’t falling loosely any more. I was doing really good, I just need to start again, and man is that the hardest part. Once I get back into the swing I’ll do it daily. (like I said I’m lazy)
Will this make my hair start to grow again. I hope so.
