So much for writing every day.

No Alcohol day 3. Not really noticing a change in anything yet. There was an article that I read that said it takes 10 days for alcohol to leave your system, 7 days to go. Will see what happens then.

Another thing I’m trying to stop is taking pain pills all the time. It was getting so that I would take Advil at night just so that I would sleep better. I’ve stopped. I have an issue with verrucous veins and had a bought with phlebitis a couple of months ago. Took about a month for the symptoms to go away. It wasn’t fun. It was pretty bad it was going up the inside of my thigh. I probably should have gone to the doctors but other than sending me for an ultrasound they would have told me to take aspirin or Advil for the pain and to thin my blood. Been there and done that so…

Not amounting to much today. Had a plan set in my head about what I wanted to do. Did some of it but not all of it. Guess I need to make a list and mark off as I go. Need more organization in my life.

We got a new paper shredder. It’s fun so I’ve been getting rid of all bank statements and such. It kind of scares the cat! LOL!

Making quiche for supper tonight. Low on calories and lots of protein. Going to be ham and Swiss. I should make the crust from scratch, but I bought the premade ones. I don’t like the Pilsbury ones they have a chemical after taste. Shaw’s brand isn’t bad, not homemade, but not bad. See this is being lazy, it’s not that hard to make a crust. Something else to work on, laziness!

G came home around 3:30, stood in the doorway and said, “I need your help”. OK I say, what’s wrong. The window on the drivers side door wouldn’t got all the way back up. We played with it for about a half an hour. If I got the front part in the in the guide the back would be out. If I got the back in the guide the front would be out. Grrr…. we finally gave up. Got a trash bag and covered the open area.

Race day tomorrow. Bell is low man on the odd to win but the fact that he’s gotten into the final 4 two years in a row speaks about his abilities. I have a 1 in 4 chance of winning the pool!

Evening update:

I was bad. I need to not go in the grocery store. I bought wine, drank it and stole a glass out of G’s bottle. Sigh. Back to the drawing board. Didn’t get all my exercise in today either. (messing around with that stupid window.)

Time to set the clock back. Doesn’t bother me, or if it does I don’t notice the issue.
